Opening event at ICACS March 10th - 12th, 2009

b_175_0_16777215_00_images_opening_event.jpgIt is our pleasure to invite faculty members and students of SWPS to a series of lectures and workshops delivered by distinguished German and Chinese cognitive psychologists and neuroscientists. Their research focuses on how the dynamics of language-related and oculomotor processes subserve attentional control using reading, spatial attention, and working memory tasks as experimental venues. The lectures and workshops accompany the official opening of the Interdisciplinary Center for Applied Cognitive Studies (ICACS) and the signing of an agreement of intent of scientific collaboration between ICACS, ICCS (Interdisciplinary Center for Cognitive Studies, University of Potsdam, Germany), and State Key Laboratory for Neuroscience and Learning (Beijing, Normal University, P. R. China).

The Research Methods in Cognitive Studies (REMICS 2009)

During the first Winter School, novel and advanced research methods, based on latest developments in cognitive and neuroscience methodology were taught - these are usually not included in such advanced and interdisciplinary way in regular University curricula for graduate students.
